Our world moves at lightning speed. Though I thrive in momentum, I find it more and more important to pause. To take a break from the go, go, go of modern life. To infuse intentionality into the day-to-day. To actively look for beauty, instead of letting others tell me what is beautiful.

Beauty lives in small rituals - morning coffee, arranging flowers, setting the table. It hides in plain sight - in roadside wildflowers, in the flaky layers of a croissant, in city street art, in your favorite mug. It does not always stop you in your tracks or stick with you for days. Sometimes it simply evokes a fleeting moment of calm, of serenity, of happiness as you move through a day packed with meetings, appointments, and responsibilities.  

For me, beauty is not about perfection or performance. It’s about presence. It’s about choosing to notice the things that bring quiet joy, even when the world screams chaos. Thoughtful living doesn’t require a slower life or fewer responsibilities. Personally, thoughtful living has allowed me to take on more - to chase passion projects and build a fuller life.

This philosophy is what led me to create Petal & Porcelain.
